Princess Anne takes big step after Zara Tindall's surprising decision
Queen Elizabeth II’s daughter and King Charles III’s sister, Princess Anne, has taken a big step after Zara Tindall and Mike Tindall surprising plans come to the light.
The Princess Royal left England in absence of King Charles and Queen Camilla as she is due to hold a dinner at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Scotland as the patron of Columba 1400.
According to its website, Columba 1400 is “a charity and social enterprise based in Scotland” that “enables young people, especially those from tough realities, and the key adults in their life, to lead lives of purpose, meaning and contribution.”
The announcement comes after reports that Zara and Mike, who never shout about their relationship with Sussexes from the rooftops, are looking forward to spending time with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in abroad.
Speaking about her patronage, Princess Anne said: “Columba 1400 has more than surpassed its early promise.”
She added: “Since its launch on 3 June 2000 in Staffin, I have been very pleased and impressed to learn of the thousands of young people from tough backgrounds, along with the significant adults in their lives, who have benefitted and graduated from a series of Columba 1400 Young People’s Leadership Academies.”
Princess Anne, who’s one of the hardest working members of the royal family, stunned fans with her decision as King and the Queen are already in Italy.
The King and Queen received a rapturous welcome in Ravenna for the final leg of their Italian tour. The royal couple spent the three previous days in Rome, where the British monarch also addressed the Italian Parliament.
