The Princess Royal hosted a garden party at Buckingham Palace on the day of the bomb hoax

A woman has appeared in court charged in connection with a bomb threat at Buckingham Palace.
Diane Durham, of Church Lane in Pudsey, West Yorkshire, is accused of knowingly providing false information to the Metropolitan Police about a bomb being present in the palace on 17 May.
The 62-year-old did not enter a plea when she appeared at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
She was granted unconditional bail ahead of a plea hearing at the same court on 7 October.

Ms Durham is alleged to have provided the false information from her home address.
On the day in question, the Princess Royal had hosted a garden party at Buckingham Palace for the Not Forgotten Association, a charity which supports veterans and wounded serving personnel.
