Rafael Nadal has been teasing fans about his comeback and although fans are excited about his return to action they are also keen to know what he will wear at the Brisbane International and the Australian Open.

After nearly a full year on the sidelines due to a hip injury he sustained at this year’s Australian Open, the 22-time Grand Slam winner has confirmed that he will return to action in the first week of January at the ATP 250 event in Brisbane.

And this week he has given fans plenty to talk about as he has drip-fed them with interviews on social media as he discussed his injury, his rehab and the future.

But of course, if you are a true Rafan then an important question ahead of the 2024 season is “What kit will Rafael Nadal wear?”
Well, Tennis Insider has the scoop in terms of his outfit for the Brisbane International and those who were hoping he would be sleeveless again will be disappointed.

According to the publication, Nadal will wear a fluorescent green top – with sleeves – and white shorts while his shoes will be a combination of the two colours with white as the dominant colour. His second outfit will be a white shirt and fluorescent green shorts.

“Here is the expected outfit for his return, which we originally posted him scheduled to wear for the 2023 indoor season,” Tennis Insider wrote.

What about Rafael Nadal’s outfit for the Australian Open?

Although the exact kit is yet to be confirmed, he is expected to wear blue for what will likely be his final campaign at the season-opening Grand Slam at Melbourne Park.

In case you forgot, Nadal wore an orange shirt and white shorts at the 2023 Australian Open.

But while blue has been confirmed as the colour of choice for this year’s tournament, he may still opt to go sleeveless in Melbourne as the exact outfit has not been revealed.

In his latest interview on social media, Nadal admitted that his only aim is to enjoy the upcoming tennis season as he conceded that he might not pay a full year.

“It is a reality, there are many chances that it will be my last year, without any doubt,” he said. “There are chances that it may only be half a year.

“There are possibilities that it may be a full year. There are possibilities that we may not be able to reach all that. These are things that right now I do not have the capacity to be able to answer. I am only in conditions to say that I return to compete. There are many possibilities that it is my last year and I am going to enjoy the tournaments in that way.”
