The GOAT is poised to play the Genesis Invitational in February
Tiger Woods is to play his first PGA Tour event of 2024 at Genesis Invitational on February 15th
The 15-time major champion has had a limited schedule since suffering a leg injury in a car crash in 2021,m but is now on the comeback trail once again.
The 48-year-old says he is “excited” to be playing at the Genesis Invitational, which he hosts, and which starts in California on Thursday, 15 February.
Tiger Woods withdrew from the Masters in April 2023 after looking like a shadow of his former self, despite making the cut, he was clearly playing in pain and discomfort.
He made his return to competitive action at the Hero World Challenge in December, whilst also playing alongside his 14-year-old son Charlie at the PNC Championship in Orlando in December.
Despite playing a reduced schedule, hopefully this can mark the beginning of Tiger’s eagerly anticipated comeback to the PGA Tour.
