On Monday, Tiger Woods finally revealed what apparel he would be donning after ending his long-standing 27-year partnership with Nike.
On Monday, ahead of the Genesis Invitational, he announced a new “active premium lifestyle brand” called “Sun Day Red”. The partnership with TaylorMade who he has been with since 2017 for his clubs, is centered around the iconic red shirts he wears on Sundays during tournaments.
It started with a passion. The passion of competing. Of competing against ourselves. The field. The course. Life. Out of that passion, @SunDayRed rises.

The 15-time major winner presented this as a “new saga” in a press release where he revealed why it was time to move on from Nike.
“I have learned so much over the years and have a lifetime of experience adjusting my apparel and footwear to help me play better based on the way it was constructed,” Woods said in the release. “There are things that I could tell you that no one knew I was doing over the years. I’m ready to share those secrets with the world. Sun Day Red will embody a love of playing and competing, and we are for people that share those values, whether it’s on the course, or in life. We will be anchored to putting the athlete first in the product decisions we make.”
While many were excited about the new brand that will certainly be seen on courses everywhere, there were questions as to why “Sun Day Red” is written as it is. Something that was revealed by TaylorMade CEO David Abeles as there is “power in threes”. It is also worth noting there are 15 stripes on the tiger, and they will add more stripes if he wins a major again.
Tiger Woods will begin wearing Sun Day Red at the Genesis Invitational this week, but the brand is set to officially launch on May 1.
