Hamilton has taken advantage of one of the challenges made by F1 in social networks to make fun of the Asturian.
The rivalry between Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso has always existed. They shared a team at McLaren in 2007, and everyone in the paddock knows that it didn’t end well.
Afterwards, they continued their rivalry in different teams and everything calmed down more, however both take advantage of some occasions to throw some ‘sticks’ at each other and the last one to do it has been the Brit.
He has done it in one of the challenges that Formula 1 does in its social networks. As we are in the summer break, the Grand Circus has no content, because there are no races, and is uploading to its Youtube channel some content recorded by the drivers at the beginning of the year, which are based on small entertainment games that have to do with F1, such as memory challenges, to find which three drivers are in a photo among others.
Take advantage of the challenge to ‘mock’ Alonso
This Thursday, the video they uploaded was a test in which they showed a photograph of something related to the highest category of motorsport and where there was something changed with photoshop, that is, the photo was edited and the drivers had to guess what was in it.
In one of the turns, a photograph of Fernando’s podium celebration at the Dutch GP in 2023 was shown, but the trophy was not the one from Zandvoort, it was the mythical Silverstone trophy and on top of that it was the winner’s trophy, when the ’14’ had made a podium, not a victory. Many drivers found it hard to see the mistake, but when it was Hamilton’s turn he took the opportunity to throw a ‘dart’ at the Spaniard.

“What’s wrong with this picture?” he was asked. And with his usual smile and calm tone he replied, “It’s only wrong that he (Alonso) is on the podium,” implying that the Asturian doesn’t do podiums, as Aston Martin is going through a complicated situation.
It should be noted, that all this is a game and that between Lewis and Fernando there is much more respect, but it is also obvious that the two enjoy this relationship where they throw poisoned messages from time to time. The rest of the drivers did not see the mistake in the photo at the first time and many thought that something had been edited in the driver’s overalls, or his smile and took a while to see that the trophy was the wrong one.
