The duo have shared a number of colourful exchanges on social media in recent times.
Tennis legend Andy Murray has locked horns with Liam Broady once again in their latest social media spat.
The pair have a history of getting into it with no love seemingly lost between the two-time Wimbledon champion and 30-year-old Broady, who is still playing and ranked at No.145 in the world. In January this year, retired star Murray branded him a ‘clown’ and a ‘walking contradiction’ after his criticism of Russian kid Mirra Andreeva’s performance at the Australian Open.
They got into it again during the Atlanta Open when Broady complained about the venue not offering breakfast until 9am – Murray replying to tell him most ‘professionals’ would have checked that out in advance.
And Murray has called Broady out once again after the Englishman’s latest social media rant about a child playing on their iPad on a flight. Broady wrote: “There’s a kid on this flight with an iPad, watching a tv show in the top left corner of the screen with subtitles on. All whilst playing a video game on the full screen. Is this me getting old thinking that’s unhealthy for their brain?”
Murray promptly replied, with a healthy dose of sarcasm: “I remember once seeing this kid playing a computer game in the lobby of a hotel in Antwerp on his laptop, headphones on with microphone attached. Speaking to his friends whilst using whatsapp with his free hand. His name was Liam broady and look how he turned out… Spanner.”
