Serena Williams was recently seen helping her daughter Olympia gain valuable insights into financial literacy. The 23-time Grand Slam champion read Mellody Hobson’s Priceless Facts About Money alongside her seven-year-old.
Williams often shares glimpses of her life on social media. Recently, she showcased a section of gifts from prominent figures, including Kim Kardashian and Selena Gomez, on her Instagram story. Another gift was Mellody Hobson’s ‘Priceless Facts About Money,’ which Williams enthusiastically recommended to her followers for its insightful approach to financial literacy and said.
“I just got this really cool book in the mail. Today is ‘Mail Monday.’ I’m so excited to get this. Mellody Hobson, who is amazing. This is about financial literacy”. This is a really good read. I encourage you all to go pick it up.”
The 43-year-old recently took to Instagram to share how she helped her daughter build financial awareness through Hobson’s book. Williams posted a clip showing Olympia sitting on her lap and reading. Olympia read:
“No matter how much or how little you have, everyone has to deal with money. Understanding it can help you master it.”
Besides Williams, her husband Alexis Ohanian has taken a keen interest in Olympia’s hobbies. On October 18, the couple took Olympia to enjoy Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour show in Miami.
Besides her duties as a mother, Williams is also focused on her business ventures.
“My life is very different now”: Serena Williams offers a glimpse into managing daughters’ interests and leading business ventures after retirement
Williams met Alexis Ohanian in 2015, and the couple married two years later. In addition to Olympia, who was born two months before their wedding, they welcomed their younger daughter Adira last year.
The former World No. 1 balances motherhood with managing her businesses, including WYN Beauty and her venture capital firm. Recently, Williams shared a clip on X, showing how she cares for Adira and caters to Olympia’s hobbies like tennis and cooking, along with handling her venture capital commitments.
“My life is very different now. Instead of chasing balls, I’m chasing #Adira and helping #Olympia with tennis lessons and cooking. (And, all this is in-between Venture Capital calls),” she wrote.
In a recent interview with Glamour, Serena Williams discussed her choice to prioritize motherhood over her tennis career, sharing that spending time with her daughters is her greatest achievement.
