King Charles is said to be planning for abdication and “leave the show” to his eldest son Prince William
King Charles has received strong warning about his bond with elder son Prince William, who is said to be “preparing behind the scenes for when his ascension happens.”
According to a report by Us Weekly, in many ways, King Charles and Prince William are closer than ever — but their relationship has also become significantly more complicated as tension over the Prince of Wales approaching succession builds.
“The dynamics have shifted,” the insider shared with the Us Weekly, adding, “Like his father, Prince William takes being a success in the royal role very seriously.”
Royal expert Clive Irving previously claimed King Charles is planning for abdication and “leave the show” to his eldest son Prince William once “incredibly difficult transition phase” for the monarchy comes to an end.
Amid these claims, King Charles has been warned that the monarch may damage his relationship with William if he decides to arrange a reunion with Harry.
Royal expert Emily Andrews has claimed in Woman magazine, per Daily Express: “The King also does not want to create drama at Christmas with his other son, Prince William.
“I know from speaking to my own sources that if the King does talk to Harry about a possible return to royal life, it would need to involve William and that may jeopardise his good rapport with his elder son.”
