Tiger Woods is currently working on his latest endeavor in golf. While he remains a player who is aiming to play more regularly in the future, he’s also working on golf courses and other business ventures outside of playing the sport. That includes a new golf course with Bluejack Ranch.
Woods is currently working on the second Texas-based golf course under the Bluejack company umbrella. He reportedly had a recent visit with the design team in Fort Worth, and he wants everyone to know that they should keep their eyes on what he and the team are doing next.
Woods wrote:
“Mighty fine design visit at Bluejack Ranch this week. Hats off to this exceptional Fort Worth development. Something special is on the horizon.”
It’s been about a decade since that first Bluejack course was opened. It was the first US-based course Woods ever had a hand in designing. Now, he’s expanding with a second one, and he believes it’s one to be excited about.
In a letter to Bluejack residents, Woods said in October via Forbes:
“We’re bringing that same Bluejack spirit and passion to Fort Worth – a city celebrated not only as Cowtown but also as a golf town. With legends like Ben Hogan and Byron Nelson, the love for the game here is genuine.
The PGA Tour star went on to say:
“Bluejack National’s success has paved the way for this next chapter at Bluejack Ranch. Our shared vision of creating a space where families can enjoy the game and have fun inspires us all once again at The Ranch. It’s extremely motivating for me to contribute to the golfing legacy of Fort Worth, and I’m excited to see what we’ll build together.”
It is expected that the new course will be open by the first quarter of 2026, so it’s still more than a year out.
Tiger Woods coming back for the PNC Championship
Tiger Woods did not play in the Hero World Challenge earlier this month. The host of the tournament, Woods, said he wasn’t tournament-ready at the time after having surgery for a microdecompression of his spine.
He will, however, be back for the PNC Championship with his son, Charlie. The duo have played this tournament together every year since 2020, and they’re going to return in 2024.
Tiger Woods said via ESPN:
“Playing together is something we look forward to and it’s always more special when you’re surrounded by friends and family.”
Woods still doesn’t have a clear picture of how his body is going to hold up in 2025, so he can’t yet commit to a frequency of appearances on the PGA Tour. This will be Woods’ first action since the 2024 Open Championship.
