The Duke of Sussex sits for an interview and talks about the royal family
Prince Harry has made several media appearances since and he and Meghan Markle left the UK after stepping down as working royals.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made headlines when they spoke for the first time about their rift with the royal family in an interview with American TV legend Oprah Winfrey, just before the death of Prince Philip.
Harry flew back to the UK to attend his grandfather’s funeral.
The couple then appeared in a hit Netflix documentary Meghan and Harry and shared how their relationship began. While Harry gave some details of what happened between him and the royal family, Meghan spoke about the nature of relationship she had with senior royals, including Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.
Both Harry and Meghan avoided targeting Kate Middleton despite the fact that some media reports were also claiming that Meghan and Kate Middleton were at loggerheads with the former US actress.
In his latest interview with Australia’s Channel 10 Prince Harry was asked whether his elder brother William tried to persuade him not to marry Meghan Markle.
Talking about his brother and Kate, he said, “I always thought that the four of us will get on but very quickly it became Kate versus Meghan and that when it plays out so publicly you can’t hide from that.”
He added that the royal family has made absolutely no effort to reconcile with him “up until this point.”
The Duke of Sussex said the ball is in King Charles and Prince Williams court. “I love my father, I love my brother. The ball is in their court,” he said.
