Prince William and Kate Middleton sent key message across as they share Christmas card
Prince William and Kate Middleton made sure to offer a glimpse at their emotional journey since the Princess of Wales was diagnosed of cancer early this year.
According to a body language expert, the Christmas card released by the Prince and Princess of Wales, which features their family photo, have shared subtle yet telling details hidden within the picture.
Speaking with The Mirror, body language expert Judi James noted their daughter Princess Charlotte’s protective arms around her mother and brother, and William’s gentle gesture of cupping Kate’s thigh.
She noted that the Waleses tried to convey a sense of openness, honesty, and shared emotions, hinting at the challenges the family has faced throughout the year.
“Charlotte is seen with protective arms around her mother and brother, almost clinging them together. William holds his arm around Louis, but his hand is gently cupping Kate’s thigh,” James said.
“Kate’s rituals also look protective as she places one arm around her children with the other reaches for her husband and younger son,” they added.
“With William and Kate’s card, we have a facing the camera, close up view of what looks like very open and honestly shared emotions from both parents and children.
“This is the family image we saw in Kate’s video update of her illness, and the body language here is nuanced and complex enough to gently hint at everything they have been going through.”
