Tiger Woods, known for blending skill and strategy to win games, has revealed an important factor in unlocking better distance and control in golf shots. Woods shared his thoughts during an episode of the Fore Play podcast, which aired on Thursday. Fore Play, a channel that has 496k subscribers on YouTube shared a clip of the conversation with the golf legend on X.
“Well, there’s a certain limit to you want to hit it so if the pin is up front I need to hit it to the front or just pass it. It’s in the middle, I got either, either side, I’m picking a different. Where I want the ball to end up on the next play and so this pin.. the worst place you can hit it here is long right.
So hitting a short left either side of the bunker as long as you have room to play with I’m always trying to get myself margins and not being perfect. This is..this game’s too hard to be perfect but it’s much easier if you have an idea of margins and be able to swing freely at times, not be handcuffed,” Tiger Woods explained.
