Kate Middleton received accolades for her role in raising awareness about cancer
Kate Middleton was recognized by Time magazine for publicly sharing her cancer diagnoses on Thursday.
The Princess of Wales was featured in the magazine’s 2025 Time100 Health list for raising awareness about cancer through her public announcement and ongoing treatment.
TIME released its second annual health list on May 8, featuring the 100 most influential people in the health sector.
The wife of Prince William was lauded for sharing her cancer treatment, breaking with the royal family’s traditionally reserved approach to medical information.
“As a popular public figure, Middleton’s revelation brought significant attention to cancer awareness and treatment, including the rise in early-onset cancers in patients under age 50,” the TIME tribute stated.
TIME noted that the princess “became a beacon for cancer patients, and inspired others to address their own health.”
The 2025 list also included Melinda French Gates, Robert F. Kennedy Jr, Colin Farrell, Seth Rogen and other notable figures.
