Prince Harry recalls altercation with Prince William
Prince Harry talked about the time he was confronted by Prince William
Prince Harry wrote about his altercation with Prince William in his bombshell memoir, Spare.
In his sensational claim, the younger son of King Charles recalled being “knocked” to the ground by his older brother, the Prince of Wales, during an alleged confrontation at Nottingham Cottage in 2019.
Harry recalled being left with brises and cuts after William grabbed him by the collar, ripped his shirt and broke his necklace, knocking him into a dog bowl.
Additionally, the Duke of Sussex also claimed that the 42-year-old asked him not to tell his wife, Meghan Markle, about the incident.
And even though Harry wanted to honour the request his now-estranged brother had made. He did feel like he needed to talk to someone and eventually reached out to his therapist.
“I apologised for the intrusion, told her I didn’t know who else to call. I told her I’d had a fight with Willy, he’d knocked me to the floor. I looked down and told her that my shirt was ripped, my necklace was broken,” he recalled in his memoir.
He added, “We’d had a million physical fights in our lives, I told her. As boys we’d done nothing but fight. But this felt different.”
Harry then revealed that the therapist asked him to take deep breaths and describe the incident many times till it seemed like a “bad dream” which made him feel calmer, claiming that he told his therapist he was “proud of myself” because he didn’t hit William back.
