Prince William leans on his wife Princess Catherine during devastating times
Kate Middleton showcased her strength to support her family even fighting a challenging battle with cancer.
The Princess of Wales set a brave example not just for her children but also for the Prince of Wales, who faced a “tough” scenario after his father, King Charles and wife, were diagnosed with serious disease.
According to The Sun, a close friend of the royals shared, “Last spring and early summer, things were really very tough.”
The source said, “Catherine was very ill and William genuinely had to confront the possibility that he could lose his wife and his father [who has also been battling cancer].”
Despite her health woes, the future Queen supported her loved ones by being resilient and determined to overcome the fears of her kids, George, Charlotte, Louis and her husband.
“Keeping things as normal as possible for the ‘kiddies’, as Catherine calls them, was paramount. Her mum in particular was a tower of strength and support,” an insider said.
For the unversed, the Princess of Wales announced her cancer diagnosis in March 2024 after Buckingham Palace issued a sad health update on the King.
After undergoing preventative chemotherapy, in 2025, Kate Middleton revealed that she is in remission from cancer and seeking help from nature to heal from her personal trauma.
An insider from the Palace revealed, “The Princess herself has spoken movingly over the past 13 months of the power that nature has played in her recovery. That is definitely a message of both her private life and her public work going forward.”
