Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump went public with their relationship in March with the 15-time major winner’s children, Sam and Charlie, both giving their blessing
Tiger Woods’ kids are reportedly fond of Vanessa Trump, their father’s new flame, and the feeling is mutual.
They’re not the only ones, even U.S. President Donald Trump has given the budding romance his nod of approval. The smitten duo made their relationship public in March when Tiger, a 15-time major championship winner, took to social media to quell any rumors.
The 49-year-old golf legend, who is currently on the mend after Achilles surgery, was previously married to Elin Nordegren. Their marriage ended in divorce in 2010 following Woods’ admission of infidelity, but he seems to have found love again with Vanessa, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr. And they have a strict relationship rule to follow.
Both Woods and Vanessa have children from their previous marriages, and their kids attended The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
While it’s unclear how and when their paths first crossed, it’s said that Trump has made a positive impact on Woods’ children.
A source shared insights about her rapport with Woods’ daughter Sam, 17, and son Charlie, 15, telling the Daily Mail: “She likes the kids; they like her.”
It was also revealed that the five-time Masters champion also discussed his new romance with ex-wife Elin, giving her a courtesy call as they continue to co-parent their children together.
The insider added: “So there was really no reason for any drama with Elin. It was more of a call so she didn’t learn about it in the news.
“Tiger knew it was going to get out eventually so he had to make the phone call to Elin before his love life ended up in the newspapers again. He’s made this call before about other women – but never like this.
“Her response at first was like, ‘Seriously? A Trump? For real?’ She was more amused than anything. But she really quickly just accepted it.”
Woods previously announced on social media earlier this year that he and Vanessa were an item, saying: “Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side!”.
“We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.”
In a similar vein of support, President Trump has also endorsed their pairing, expressing his fondness for both Woods and Vanessa. Despite their separation, it seems Trump still holds Vanessa in high regard, stating: “I love Tiger and I love Vanessa.
“He and I have a very special, very good relationship with Tiger. I played golf with him a couple of times over the last month, and he’s a fantastic guy and a fantastic athlete.
“He told me about it, and I said, ‘Tiger, that’s good, that’s good.’ I’m very happy for both. Just let them both be happy. Let them both be happy. They’re both great.”
