Emma Raducanu celebrates during her match

Emma Raducanu’s grass-court season is officially over, and all eyes now turn to how the Brit will fare across the hard-court summer in North America.

It has been almost four years since Raducanu’s stunning and historic triumph at the 2021 US Open, though the 22-year-old will be keen to make some new memories over the next two months.

Here, we look at where the Brit is now and why she has the chance to make up some big ground across the next few weeks.

As it stands
2025 has proven challenging on and off the court for Raducanu, though there has undoubtedly been an uptick in form over recent months.

That culminated in an impressive run at Wimbledon, where the Brit defeated Mimi Xu and former champion Marketa Vondrousova in straight sets, before falling to world No 1 Aryna Sabalenka.

Despite impressing in her third-round loss to Sabalenka, Raducanu ultimately dropped down the WTA Rankings post-Wimbledon.

The Brit had reached the fourth round as a wildcard in 2024 and, after making round three in 2025, has dropped down five places to world No 45 in the WTA Rankings.

However, she now has the chance to surge back up the rankings across the hard-court summer.

2024 hard-court summer
Raducanu’s 2024 hard-court summer began at the Citi DC Open in Washington, where she impressed on her way to the quarter-finals.

The Brit defeated eighth seed Elise Mertens in round one and then dispatched home favourite Peyton Stearns in the second round, before a quarter-final defeat to eventual champion Paula Badosa.
