Honolulu police have arrested a 30-year-old woman for the alleged kidnapping of a 22-year-old woman in Waikiki.
Police said in a bulletin that the 22-year-old woman reported having been assaulted and held against her will by a female friend on Sept. 18. She was able to leave the apartment after police arrived at 3 a.m., but did not report the incident on that day.
The woman reported the incident to police on Wednesday.
Police located the suspect, who was positively identified, and arrested her without incident on Wednesday. She remains in custody, pending an investigation.
