HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – More than 200 local business leaders were honored Saturday night at the Hilton Hawaiian Village who help uplift the Filipino community in Hawaii.

This year, the Filipino Community Center’s Bayanihan Gala recognized the work of some of those leaders.

Guests dressed in traditional attire and enjoyed cultural entertainment.

Russell Lau of Finance Factors, Christina Hause of Kaiser Permanente Hawaii, Gabe Lee of the UH Hawaii Board of Regents, and Dr. Lawrence Tseu, founder of the Tseu Medical Institute at Oxford University, were recognized during the gala.

Their recognition showcases the multi-ethnic support that FilCom receives from local businesses and leaders.

The honorees demonstrate the Filipino values of hard work, family devotion, and service to others, and inspire leaders from all backgrounds to embrace the bayanihan spirit.
