HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Amazon is hiring 250,000 full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees with roles available on Oahu.
Seasonal roles start at an average of more than $19 per hour, with flexible schedules and the potential to grow into long-term careers. Regular full and part-time employees earn an average of $23 per hour, and total compensation exceeds $30 per hour when benefits are included.
While hiring is taking place across the country, opportunities in Hawaii are centered at Amazon’s delivery station on Sand Island, which just marked its one-year anniversary.
Employees in Hawaii also benefit from Amazon’s Career Choice program, which pre-pays tuition for degrees, certifications, and technical training. Local education partners include Honolulu Community College and the University of Hawaii West Oahu.
Job postings are updated weekly through December.
The company warns job postings fill quickly, sometimes within minutes of being listed. If no Hawaii roles appear during a search, keep checking back as new opportunities are added on a regular basis. Jobs often begin posting on Fridays and will continue rolling out through December, the company said.
Since launching operations, Amazon has delivered millions of packages to customers across Oahu and recently expanded to offer next-day delivery for select orders shipped from the mainland.
Since 2010, Amazon has invested more than $950 million in Hawaii through infrastructure improvements and employee compensation.
Amazon currently employs more than 1,000 full and part-time workers in Hawaii.
