Prince Harry shares the belief that inspired his sustainable mission
Prince Harry has spoken passionately about the power of responsible travel in London at the 25th annual Wanderlust Travel Awards.
The Duke of Sussex, who founded the sustainable travel initiative Travalyst, attended the ceremony at the Old Royal Naval College, where he joined the celebrations honouring destinations and organisations making a difference in the travel industry.
Photographer Chris Baron Smith shared pictures of Harry from the evening, showing the Duke on stage alongside representatives of Germany, which received the award for Most Desirable Country for Sustainability.
During his keynote speech, the prince reflected on what inspired him to establish it and his belief that tourism can have a positive impact when approached responsibly.

” I started Travalyst because I believe deeply in travel as a force for good,” he told the audience.
The Duke of Sussex also joined Travalyst CEO Julie Cheetham to present the Most Desirable Country for Sustainability award to this year’s winner, Germany.
According to The Daily Mail, Harry and Meghan made four private jet journeys in just 11 days during the year this project was launched.
At the time, he defended the couple’s use of private flights, saying during a speech in Amsterdam that there were occasions when he needed to ensure his family’s safety.
