Andy Murray

Andy Murray will be skipping the remaining matches of the Asian Hard Court swing and is expected to head back home to prepare for the European tournaments that mark the conclusion of the season. He has officially pulled out of the Japan Open.

Andy Murray won only one of his four matches played in Asia and is 32-17 for the year, but the past few weeks haven’t gone as well. He has lost albeit to good in form players in Aslan Karatsev, Alex de Minaur and Roman Safiullin.

According to remaining entry lists, Murray will play three more tournaments before the end of the year with Swiss Indoors Basel, Paris Masters and Davis Cup Finals being his final stops with a break of just over a week before he returns to action in Switzerland.

As well as Murray, only three other players have withdrawn from Tokyo so far including Milos Raonic and Kei Nishikori. All of them have been injury prone/returning from lengthy spells on the sidelines.
