PHILADELPHIA — The staff of “Abbott Elementary” are heading on a field trip to the ballpark!
Back on August 28, the cast and crew of the hit ABC sitcom filmed an episode inside Citizens Bank Park during a Phillies game vs. the Atlanta Braves.
And it wasn’t just any Phillies game – it was the one where Kyle Schwarber hit a historic four home runs!
If you were at that game, look closely because you just might see yourself in the episode.

It was a monster feat for the “Abbott” cast and crew to pull off. The stars of the show were embedded in the stands at Citizens Bank Park in section 114, Row 29, blending right in with local Phillies fans.
Creator, star, show runner and West Philly native Quinta Brunson talked about this massive undertaking in her home town.
“It’s going to be a big triumph for our show to pull off,” Brunson says. “This isn’t easy to do. We have an incredible crew. They’re putting this together. It takes really hard work. We have to be so efficient to get this done. We’re just excited to get the opportunity to do more things that are kind of like unseen in television.”
Catch the “Abbott Elementary” episode called “Ball Game” Wednesday, October 15 at 8:30 p.m. on ABC and streaming the following day on Hulu.
