ANDY MURRAY served up a slice of British sport history when he won Wimbledon back in 2013.
Now the tennis ace’s hotel chef is planning to serve a special meal to celebrate that and other important moments in Muzza’s life.

Along with wife Kim, mother to his four kids, he plans to hold court in a special celebration of his family history – and his big business interest in Scotland – Cromlix House.

The 37-year-old bought the 15-room hotel for £2m in 2013 and quickly set about revitalising the venue.

Since then the five-star accommodation has scooped some major awards while Murray continued to add to his tennis trophy haul.

The couple were even married two years later at the luxury pad five miles north of his hometown.
Only this year it was named Independent Hotel of the Year with executive chef Darin Campbell named best in Scotland at the national Excellence Awards.

It was also named hotel of the year at the Thistle awards in December.

However retirement rumours continue to swirl around the Dunblane-born sportsman.

And his hospitality venture is thriving ensuring he has plenty on his plate when he does pack up his racquet for the final time.
That could be as soon as this summer, and will co-incide with a special milestone for the hotel, which he plans to celebrate.

And surely strawberries and cream – or a variation – will be on the menu.
In a post advertising the special event, the hotel Instagram account showed a picture of beaming owners Andy and Kim, and read: “Join us as we celebrate 10 years at Cromlix with our special anniversary dinner on Sunday, 16th June.

“Our Head Chef, Darin Campbell has created a special five course menu with dishes chosen to reflect key moments in the Murray’s family history and connection with Cromlix.”

The hotel had a HUGE redevelopment last year led by Kim with help from interior designer Suzanne Garuda.

It also added a Scottish first in the luxury grounds that went down a storm with mum Judy – a pickleball court.

The tennis coach is a huge advocate of the racquet and ball game which mixes tennis, badminton and table-tennis and is popular in the USA with celebs like Leonardo Di Caprio.

However a bid to add luxury woodland cabins caused problems as the development had to factor in BATS to the plans.
