King Charles was briefly hospitalised after facing side effects of cancer treatment
Buckingham Palace released a ‘reassuring’ statement regarding King Charles’ well-being for the worried royal fans.
The monarch, who was briefly hospitalised after facing adverse effects of his cancer treatment, is said to be doing well in Highgrove retreat.
On March 27, the King’s office issued a rare message revealing that during his routine checkup, he was admitted to hospital due to side effects of his medical procedure.
In order to prioritise the monarch’s health, King Charles’ key engagements have been postponed.
Royal family’s spokesperson said, “He very much hopes that they can rescheduled in due course and offers his deepest apologies to all those who had worked so hard to make the planned visit possible.”
Speaking of the Palace’s statement, royal commentator Jennie Bond believes that the King’s recovery is going in a positive direction.
According to the Mirror, she said, “I think we should accept the Palace’s reassurance that these side-effects to cancer treatment are quite common and normally temporary.”
“And as the King himself said during a visit to Northern Ireland last week, he plans, in Winston Churchill‘s words: to ‘just keep buggering on,'” Jennie added.
