Carlos Alcaraz has continued his winning run at the sunshine double, moving into the Miami Open quarter-finals for a third consecutive year.

Alcaraz beat 23rd seed Lorenzo Musetti, 6-3 6-3, to extend his winning streak to nine matches and move one step closer to achieving the sunshine double.

The Spaniard is yet to drop a set in Miami so far this year, and appears to be really enjoying his time in Florida, “I tried to play my game, play aggressive with my shots, go to the net, drop shots, my style. I think I did pretty well and I’m really happy with my performance.”

He continued, “I don’t know if this is the best game that I’m playing, but without a doubt it’s the best feeling. I’m feeling great on the court. I’m moving great, not injured or thinking about the ankle [injury] anymore. I think [this is] the best feeling since last summer.”

Alcaraz will play Grigor Dimitrov in the quarter-final tomorrow in Miami, who actually has the most recent victory in their head-to-head.

The Wimbledon champion admitted that he will have to be at his best to beat the Bulgarian, “I know he’s [Dimitrov] a really talented player, a really tough one.

“Here with the court, I feel that the slice a lot is going to be difficult for me. I know that. But I try to play my best game and try to get the victory.”
