Spanish tennis journalist Manuel Sanchez reported that Alcaraz had previously been offered a private jet deal for tournament travel but declined the offer.
“A while ago, Alcaraz was offered a deal with a private airline to have a jet to travel to tournaments, and he rejected it,” Sanchez posted on X (translated from Spanish).
His coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero, also discussed Alcaraz’s humble approach, contrasting it with his time working alongside Alexander Zverev.
“It was a big decision to take. It was the opposite of what I lived with Zverev in the past. It wasn’t a life of private jets and high-standard hotels anymore.”
Alcaraz has openly expressed his deep appreciation for his family and their role in keeping him grounded, despite his growing fame and success in the tennis world.
His parents, older brother, and two younger brothers have played a crucial role in shaping his perspective. Their down-to-earth attitude ensures he remains humble, regardless of his on-court achievements. Alcaraz explain this when speaking to The Sunday Times
“Well, my father and my mom have a good role. They try to pull me into the ground every time I win a tournament or I win an amount of money; I’m not gonna lie, I’m not gonna hide. They always stay there to put my feet on the ground.”
