Carrie Underwood might be widely recognized as one of the healthiest, most inspiring celebrities, let alone country artists, of today, but there’s one vice she won’t be saying goodbye to anytime soon.
In an interview with CMT, the 41-year-old singer reflected on the habits that keep her feeling her best day in and day out, on tour and not.
“I feel like first and foremost, just taking care of myself overall is the most important thing I could do—with food and drink and being healthy and exercising and all that stuff,” she said.
In the same breath, though, she was quick to point out that she’s by no means perfect. “I’m bad with warm-ups and cool-downs,” she revealed.
Another thing she’s admittedly not great at? Avoiding caffeine. “I’ll drink caffeine and go do my thing because caffeine! I’m a mom,” she emphasized. And it’s something fans can relate to! Knowing just how taxing it can feel to take care of yourself while tending to children, fans couldn’t help but applaud Carrie’s efforts.
“Self-care is very important! Congratulations on doing a great job,” one fan exclaimed. “Keep on doing you! You do it very well,” another fan commented. “That’s awesome! I know the struggle is real,” someone else chimed in.
As it currently stands, Carrie is a judge on American Idol, she has a residency in Las Vegas that extends into Spring 2025, and she has two sons to watch after while juggling it all. If the woman wants a little caffeine, we say go for it!
