Coco Gauff finally tries her limited edition Wheaties cereal after traveling home from China
Coco Gauff enjoyed successful outings in China as she won the WTA 1000 event in Beijing and reached the semifinal in the WTA 1000 event in Wuhan. Following her defeat to Aryna Sabalenka in Wuhan, Gauff was eager to travel back home. She said in a press conference:
“I think I’m going to go home just because it’s been long. I think I’ve been here, like, four weeks. Two weeks is kind of when we have to leave for Riyadh.”
After 30 hours of travel, Gauff returned home and finally got to taste the limited-edition Wheaties cereal, featuring a box inspired by her. In August, Wheaties announced the special edition box, following their release of one honoring American tennis icon Billie Jean King.
“Waiting all month to get home to finally try it hahaha. Also I look a mess post 30 hours of travel so not too much.”
In the video, Gauff expressed her excitement:
“Sorry, did the first initial taste test on TikTok, but I am very satisfied. I used vanilla almond milk, and it’s really cool to eat cereal with my face on it. It’s something as iconic as Wheaties. So get yours before they are out, and thanks again Wheaties. Now, this is the real breakfast of champions.”
Gauff also confirmed she will play only one more event this year: the WTA Finals in Riyadh. Joining her will be Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, Jasmine Paolini, Elena Rybakina, Jessica Pegula, Zheng Qinwen, and Barbora Krejcikova.
