The Corsicana Artist and Writer Residency recently reopened its bookstore at a new location at 201 N. Commerce St. in downtown Corsicana. And it’s marking the occasion with a special event featuring author and photographer Henry Horenstein.

In “Miles and Miles of Texas,” Henry Horenstein showcases nearly 100 photos from the Lone Star State.
Honky Tonk Editions
Horenstein will share his experiences taking photographs for Miles and Miles of Texas, a collection of nearly 100 photos taken throughout the Lone Star State, mostly between 2021 and 2024. Horenstein has frequently found inspiration in Texas during his five-decade career, during which he has published more than 40 books. A professor at Rhode Island School of Design, Horenstein is known for documenting the lives of ordinary people.
Horenstein will speak at the store from 4 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 12, followed by a book-signing and reception until 5:30 p.m.
Founded in 2012, the residency program supports the arts by giving artists and writers time and space to live and work in Corsicana’s historic downtown. The bookstore, open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, offers published works by residency participants alongside a curated selection of other books.
