Debra OConnell, President of News Group and Networks for Disney, receives Gold Medal Award at 2025 IRTS Hall of Mentorship Awards

A special honor was awarded to someone very close to the Disney and ABC family on Wednesday night.

“World News Tonight” anchor David Muir, presented Debra OConnell with the Gold Medal Award at the 2025 IRTS Hall of Mentorship Awards.

OConnell is President of News Group and Networks for the Walt Disney Company.

IRTS’ mission is to build future media leaders and honor top leaders of today for the work they do mentoring people.
