Now that the dust has settled on the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, F1 fans can look back on what was arguably the best race of the season, and one of the most important in deciding the two World Championships with McLaren taking huge strides forward and Red Bull regressing again.
Oscar Piastri claimed a fairytale second Grand Prix victory, seeing off the threat of Charles Leclerc, while Lando Norris recovered from P15 on the grid to finish fourth, ahead of title rival Max Verstappen.
Those results mean that McLaren now lead the Constructors’ Championship standings by 20 points heading into the race in Singapore next weekend, while Norris gained three points on Verstappen in the Drivers’ Championship, trimming the arrears to 59 with seven races to go.
