Max Verstappen playfully branded Daniel Ricciardo a “terrorist” in response to his bold driving at a Honda karting event.

In a hilarious turn of events, Max Verstappen referred to Daniel Ricciardo as a “terrorist” during a karting event. This light-hearted accusation follows a karting incident between the former teammates during Honda Racing’s ‘Thanks Day’.

A karting event, part of Honda Racing’s ‘Thanks Day’, saw Formula 1 stars like Verstappen and Ricciardo engaging in a spirited yet informal race. It allowed drivers to stretch their driving muscles, but in a scenario that’s not as intense, dangerous, or fast-paced as Formula 1.

The race was going smoothly until an aggressive manoeuvre by Ricciardo caused Verstappen to lose his lead after spinning out. The Australian’s tactic of cutting corners soon became a talking point of the week, with the Dutch F1 champion bringing it up in an interview after the event.

Despite the on-track rivalry, the atmosphere remained amicable. Verstappen, known for his to-the-point remarks, responded to the incident with a fun comment about Ricciardo’s driving.

“It went quite well but then Daniel decided to be a terrorist, he was literally trying to kill everyone out there!” he quipped.
