Carlos Alcaraz

The promising Spanish talent, currently ranked second in the world, was reportedly engaged in an exhibition match alongside Tommy Paul at the Monumental.
Carlos Alcaraz has confirmed his participation in an exhibition event through his social media channels, scheduled to take place on November 29th in Mexico City. Assuming the 20-year-old Spanish tennis player doesn’t encounter any setbacks during the ATP Finals in Turin (played November 12-19), he will feature in an exhibition match against the American player Tommy Paul.

Over 40,000 for Alcaraz vs Paul… and Yatra
This exhibition could potentially be witnessed by up to 42,000 spectators if all tickets are sold, ranging from around 30 dollars for the cheapest (general admission) to over 400 dollars for the most expensive (premium), which is equivalent to the range of around 600 to 7,750 Mexican pesos.

If all goes to plan, Alcaraz and Paul will face off following another match between the Denmark’s Caroline Wozniacki and Maria Sakkari from Greece. After the tennis matches, Colombian singer Sebastián Yatra, a friend of Alcaraz, will perform.

Following Nadal and Federer
The event, titled “Tennisfest GNP 2003,” will commence at 19:00 local time (20:00 ET) in the impressive venue of the Plaza de Toros Monumental in Mexico City, with that aforementioned capacity of 42,000 spectators. This arena has previously hosted performances by artists such as Luis Miguel, Miguel Ríos, Mago de Oz, and Paulina Rubio.

In December of last year, Rafa Nadal and the Norwegian Casper Ruud played an exhibition match in front of 30,000 fans, with Nadal emerging as the victor. In 2019, Roger Federer also competed there, facing the German player Alexander Zverev in front of 41,000 spectators.
