Jonathan Owens was close to relieving people’s pains until football glory dawned on him! We all know Owens to be one of the prominent faces in the NFL. Playing for the Green Bay Packers, he has been one of the mainstays of his team. However, a recent revelation made his fans sit up and take notice. They were shocked to learn that the initial plan of Owens was not to play football.
In fact, the profession he had in mind was poles apart from what he is doing now. Ironically, while Owens is associated with a discipline that deals with broken bones, he initially intended to heal people who had problems with bones!
Jonathan Owens wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon
The 28-year-old recently sat down with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Green Bay in an episode of Shortz on Sportz. During the interview, Owens touched on a variety of subjects. At one point in the conversation, the host mentioned the fact that Owens takes a liking to business management. He then went on to ask what alternate career would the football safety have chosen if he did not play in the NFL.
The depth of the question coming from a young boy impressed Owens. Praising the little host, the 28-year-old stated that he wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon in childhood. He said, “I had a plan…I used to tell people I wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon… I would have wanted to go the doctor route.” However, Owens then went on to put emphasis on how football was his first choice.
Terming the NFL as his “Plan A”, Owens said that football was always his first love. The football safety also said that although he was interested in learning about the human body, he was passionate about playing since his childhood days. However, as much as Owens loves football, it seems Simone Biles has been receiving a large part of Owens’ affection recently.

With the Olympics knocking at the door, Simone Biles is spotted to be in a fun mood. The American gymnast is currently enjoying her time off the gym with her husband in Hawaii. While updating her fans about her holiday, Biles has been regularly posting stunning pictures of herself, flaunting her beach body.
Looking at the post, her husband, Jonathan Owens could not restrain himself from commenting. In one of her posts, Owens commented, “Can’t get enough.” Thus, with quite a long time left for things to kick off in the NFL, Jonathan Owens is looking to enjoy his well-earned time off to the fullest.
