Prince William is set to take a tough stance on his uncle, experts claim
Prince William is tipped to take a tough stance on his uncle, Prince Andrew, when he is King, experts claim.
Prince Andrew was urged to be wary of his nephew, Prince William, when he becomes King, as the royal is tipped to “banish” the disgraced Duke, according to royal experts. The Duke of York is long longer a working member of the Royal Family, as he stepped down in 2019 following his bombshell BBC interview regarding his ties to convicted paedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.
However, while Andrew has not joined the royals in an official capacity since then, he has been snapped alongside them during private family events. He also still resides at Royal Lodge, despite reports claiming the King wants him to move to a smaller property.
But now royal experts said that the Prince of Wales will address “the Andrew problem” when he becomes King and deal with the issue once and for all.
Royal commentator Hilary Fordwich told Fox News: “Prince William has long had a strained and distant relationship with Andrew. [He holds] a grudge against his disgraced uncle.”
“Andrew’s future within the Royal Family is beyond bleak, since Prince William is firmly opposed to any public rehabilitation with no foreseeable path back. He wants Andrew to vanish from public view.”
Ms Fordwich added that the Prince of Wales is “very in touch” with the public and the latest polls showing Andrew’s plummeting popularity only reinforce William’s stance.
She explained: “William’s strong stance on ‘the Andrew problem’ is consistent, unwavering, and his influence has been decisive in ensuring Andrew remains sidelined
“He is driven by his desire to protect the monarchy’s reputation, doing all he can to safeguard its future.
“Once king, no doubt, Prince William will ensure Andrew is completely excluded from royal life, as well as all public appearances.”
Meanwhile, another royal commentator, Helena Chard, agreed on William taking into consideration the public’s view of Andrew.
She told the outlet: “[William] recognises the public animosity towards Andrew. He views him as a complete liability with his series of scandals, both past and present, shovelling shame on the family.
“His stance towards his uncle is tough. He will not entertain anyone toxic to the brand. Andrew will not be part of the streamlined monarchy.”
