As Kate Middleton wishes her sister Pippa a happy 41st birthday, she has been called an “angel” for the Princess of Wales, who has been battling cancer. Pippa’s birthday is September 6th, 1983.
Kate Middleton And Pippa Are The Modern Days Elizabeth And Margaret
The two sisters, born only 18 months apart, are already best friends, but Kate’s ordeal has brought them closer. An inside source explained, “Pippa has been an angel and backbone for Catherine. She’s there at the drop of a hat, helping to pick up the slack and physical tasks when needed. But the emotional support she provides is invaluable to Catherine.”
The bond they share is not unlike the one Queen Elizabeth had with her sister, Princess Margaret. They are the closest confidants and understand and trust each other implicitly.
Kate and Pippa have spent nearly their whole lives together. They were extremely close during their childhood.
Kate, Pippa, and their parents, Michael and Carole, moved to Amman, Jordan when Pippa was only one year old. They lived there from 1984 to 1986.
Kate open spoke fondly of her time in Jordan. The family moved to Berkshire in 1986, and Kate’s brother, James, was born in 1987.
Kate’s mom, Carole, started her party-planning business, Party Pieces, in 1987 after being inspired by Kate’s fifth birthday. She began by creating party bags and other goodies for children.
The family members all had roles in the business. During her childhood, Pippa helped out with Party Pieces.
In a 2018 interview with The Telegraph, Carole said this of the family business, “It was part of the children’s lives. It still is, and they’d come and help. They did a lot of modeling. Pippa did the blog. I still value their ideas and opinions.”
Pippa Was Kate’s Maid Of Honor
Both the Princess of Wales and Pippa attended Marlborough College. They were even roommates at one point and lived in an apartment in Chelsea before Kate married Prince William.
For Kate’s lavish royal wedding to the Prince of Wales in April 2011, Kate did not even need to think about who would be the Maid of Honor. The blushing bride quickly chose her sister to stand beside her during the ceremony.
Then it was Kate’s turn to be Pippa’s supportive sister during her wedding to hedge fund manager James Matthews in May 2017.
Kate Middleton was not in the wedding party, as it would go against royal etiquette, but she did fluff out Pippa’s dress and smooth out her veil on the big day.
Pippa experimented with different jobs and found that she loved to write. She’s an accomplished author and columnist. She wrote for several notable publications, including The Spectator Magazine, Vanity Fair, The Sunday Times, and Waitrose Kitchen Magazine.
Now, Pippa is content running the Bucklebury Gift and Farm Shop located in the Berkshire countryside near the home she shares with her family.
Her farm project has a petting zoo, a café, cabin accommodation for thirty guests, and birthday parties with tractor rides.
The sisters were seen together at Wimbledon this past July. Although Kate’s life has changed significantly since marrying William, she and Pippa share a bond that can never be broken.
