Kate Middleton, who has returned to work after completing her cancer treatment, has been praised by a top royal expert who compared her to another Royal Family member
She has wowed crowds around the world with her demure yet regal appeal, and now the secret behind Princes Kate Middleton’s allure has been revealed.
The Princess of Wales has been described as ‘steel in a velvet glove’ – just like the Queen Mother, says a top royal expert, who has covered the world’s most famous family for years.
Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond compared the way Kate uses her ‘soft power’ to that of her husband’s great-grandmother, the late Queen Mother.
Jennie said: “People always used to describe the Queen Mother as steel in a velvet glove. She was always charming, gentle and much admired. But, she was also the strength behind her husband, George Vl, and at the Palace her opinion counted. I think Kate has some of those same qualities.”
Jennie continued to OK! Magazine: “She has learned the craft of being royal over a number of years and earned her place as a senior member of the family. Gradually, she has also earned the respect of the public and, I believe, of the rest of the family. We look at her now not just as William’s wife, but as our future Queen.”
Meanwhile Kate has been wowing the public with her style since her return to the limelight after completing her cancer treatment.
It’s one ring on her hand they can’t keep their eyes off. The mom-of-three has taken off the beautiful sapphire engagement ring that once belonged to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana for recent public appearances.
Kate is now opting to sport a thin golden ring, her wedding ring, which is topped with what is thought to be a new “eternity band.” She and Prince William were enjoying an outing in Southport last week where she dazzled in the diamond ring. Despite her new stack not including Princess Diana’s engagement ring, she has still found a way to honor the deceased royal.
Kate’s eternity band is set with sapphires, the same gemstone that is in Princess Diana’s famous ring.
Prince William’s wife’s updated eternity band that matches Princess Diana’s 12-carat engagement ring was worn when she was making a congratulatory video for Team GB. Kate’s video was made following the team’s success at the Paris Olympics this year. Additionally, she wore the accessory during the family video she shared last month.
