Kate Middleton is giving soccer mom chic the princess treatment. On Saturday morning, the Princess of Wales was spotted making a surprise appearance at Prince Louis’s soccer game, per a TikTok video shared by a fellow mom at the match – and Kate leaned into cozy fall staples for her weekend outing.
In the video shared by TikToker @royalteaandtarot, the creator revealed that she found out that Kate was in attendance once she got to the local soccer tournament, which both her son and Prince Louis were playing in. She shared an incognito photo of the princess, who could be seen chatting with some of the other moms from a distance before leaving in a Range Rover with her youngest son after the game.
Kate leaned into her favorite autumn style pieces for the casual afternoon game, staying warm in her go-to caramel-hued Barbour x Alex Chung jacket made out of waxed cotton with a black corduroy collar. Fans will recognize the chic outerwear piece, which the princess has worn numerous times throughout the years, including in April 2023 for an event at a Rugby Club in South Wales.
She paired the fall staple with a pair of brown flared pants, a knit light brown scarf, and an olive green tweed newsboy cap from Really Wild Clothing, which she styled over her signature brunette blowout. An olive green tote bag and brown knit gloves with a pattern on the wrists added the finishing touches to Kate’s soccer mom ensemble. According to the TikToker, the royal appeared to go makeup-free for the occasion.
Kate–who recently shared she’s finished undergoing treatment for cancer–has been stepping up her public appearances since her video announcement on September 9, including accompanying g Prince William to a Southport Community Centre event on October 10 while wearing a long brown trench coat paired with a burgundy red printed dress with tie around the neck.
In her Instagram message, Kate wrote that while she’s focused on staying cancer free and taking “each day as it comes,” she was eager to get back to her normal appearances and responsibilities. “I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can,” she wrote. “Despite all that has gone before I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life.”
