Kate Middleton continues to undergo cancer treatment.LAPRESSE

The Princess of Wales, with Prince William’s help, proved her humility once again.
It’s been an extremely trying 2024 for the British Royal Family. After King Charles was diagnosed with cancer in February, Kate Middleton announced the same in March. The two health episodes have been a strain on the family, as both continue to undergo treatment.

Catherine, Princess of Wales stayed out of the spotlight as she dealt with the diagnosis initially, not making a public appearance until Trooping the Colour in June. Middleton popped up again recently, but for a more saddening reason.

Princess Kate and Prince William’s beautiful message to Peter Morris
Kate and her husband gave a tribute to Peter Morris, a pizza shop owner who she and Prince William grew fond of, that was read aloud at his funeral.

We can only begin to imagine what an immense hole he will leave in your life and my heart goes out to you and your family. Catherine and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Pete. We know that Pete was a hugely dedicated and highly valued member of the community which has been evident from the response to his passing. I did want you to know just how much you and your family are in our thoughts at this time.

It was a very touching message that somewhat came out of the blue. Morris’ widow, Tracey, spoke to the Sun about the message and was thoroughly complimentary of the decision.

It came as a massive surprise. I don’t even know how they found out Pete had died. It may have hit a chord with them because Kate is going through treatment. He said how down-to-earth they were. We had so many letters from people who loved Pete but the one from William and Kate was very special.

Going out of their way to send that kind of message to the family of a person they barely know shows the humility both Kate and William possess.
