Kate Middleton’s health takes a toll after Trooping the Colour
Kate Middleton, who made her first public appearance in six months following her health scare, attended the much-anticipated Trooping the Colour parade alongside her three children.
The Princess of Wales, who is currently undergoing preventative cancer treatment, which she announced in late March this year, appeared to have an impact on her health following the eventful Saturday, per royal expert Katie Nicholl.
The royal expert told Entertainment Tonight that Kate “looked impeccable” despite her health crisis as she knew “the eyes of the world are on her.”
“There is a huge amount of scrutiny that will take its toll,” Nicholl explained.
“I think we can probably imagine that she probably had a long and well-deserved rest afterwards.”
“The princess has this sort of swanlike quality about her — she’s sort of gliding on the surface — but beneath the water, I think often she’s paddling quite frantically,” Nicholl continued. “I can only imagine that a huge amount of preparation and time and effort and energy will have gone into Saturday’s appearance.”
Nicholl went on to highlight that Kate was “on her feet for a long period of time” and there was a moment during the parade when she was offered a seat, which she “gratefully accepted.”
“That’s just a bit of an acknowledgement that she is not as strong, not as fit, as she was before she went into this treatment,” Nicholl suggested.
The expert also added that it is unlikely that Princess Kate will be seen in public for “a little while,” adding that the Saturday events are “going to take some recovery from.”
