King Charles makes rare exception to Balmoral rule for Kate Middleton

Kate Middleton ‘allowed’ unique privilege by King Charles during Balmoral break.
Kate Middleton, who is the beloved daughter-in-law of King Charles, received a special honour which no one has ever gotten in the royal family.

During their Balmoral break, the royal family goes on a family trek as part of tradition, which the monarch has continued following the death of the late Queen Elizabeth.

Kate, who will be making her longest trip since her shocking cancer diagnosis, has been given a rare privilege during the trip, which only she has been granted, according to royal author, Katie Nicholl.

During Kate’s early days of dating Prince William, in a bid to make her feel welcomed, the Queen allowed her to carry her camera to Balmoral.

Kate was granted permission to take pictures at Balmoral and of the surrounding dramatic landscape, knowing how much she loved photography.

The author noted that while this may not sound like a big deal it was most definitely an unusual thing for the royal family.

“Until now the Queen had met Kate only fleetingly at the wedding of Peter and Autumn Phillips, but she went out of her way to make her feel welcome, giving her permission to take pictures at Balmoral,” Nicholl wrote in her book.

“As a woman who has lived her entire life in the public eye, the Queen rarely lets her guard down, and very few apart from her family and closest friends get to see the real Elizabeth,” the author added, explaining how the late Queen indicated she was ready to welcome Kate into the royal fold.

Now, King Charles has continued with the special permission for his daughter-in-law.

Meanwhile, Kate has shared glimpses of her photography skills as she makes it a point to share a special portrait taken by herself on special occasions.
