King Charles makes major change to Royal tradition for Kate Middleton

King Charles special gesture towards daughter-in-law Kate Middleton revealed by expert
King Charles seemingly broke a Royal tradition for his beloved daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton, at the Trooping the Colour in June.

According to a Royal expert, the monarch chose the special occasion to send a key message to the Princess of Wales, who made the appearance amid her cancer treatment.

At the Trooping the Colour, Charles showed the world how important Kate is to him by standing next to her on the Buckingham Palace instead of Prince William.

Speaking with OK! Magazine, former royal butler Grant Harrold claimed that Charles made the change himself as a way to show his appreciation for Kate’s support during tough times.

“It is changing protocol to show the King and Kate united with each other and going through similar battles, so I would say this is down to the King’s preference,” the expert said.

He added, “The balcony [line-up] is orchestrated, so I have a feeling the King said to Kate, ‘You stand next to me.’”

After her special appearance at the Trooping the Colour, Kate finally resumed Royal duties following completion of her preventative chemotherapy at the Remembrance Sunday.

As for the cancer-stricken monarch, he is still getting treated for an undiagnosed form of cancer while continuing his Royal responsibilities and duties.
