The 76-year-old had cancelled all his royal engagements.
Britain’s King Charles is once again back in the public eye after health fears saw the 76-year-old monarch rushed to hospital to reassess his cancer treatment, after he began suffering side effects.
The 76-year-old son of Queen Elizabeth II ascended in September 2022 but much of his tenure has been overshadowed by his battle against cancer as preparations for his potential death are put into place.
But the Brit is fighting on and even smiled and waved at subjects of Britain as he left Clarence House in London in an Audi, likely to head back to his Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire’s countryside.
“We were horrified when we heard the news yesterday,” an eyewitness told thedailymail.com. “We had come down to the palace today to take pictures but we never imagined we would see the King.
“To see him smiling and waving, it’s such a relief.”
Buckingham Palace confirmed the King had required a short period of observation in hospital and had to cancel his plans to visit Birmingham, some 188 miles away from London.

However, it’s not thought that Charles is struggling on his recovery process as a source confirms to the dailymail.com that the visit is “a most minor bump in a road” on his path to recovery.
The UK’s Head of State, Charles left the London home at around 10:30 GMT in a black Audi, before his sister Princess Anne (Princess Royal) followed shortly in a Bentley.
Queen Camilla was not spotted in London visiting her husband of two decades, but there is no indication of any marital issues between the pair as he nurses himself back to health.
What kind of cancer does King Charles have?
Cancer has been the theme of the British Royal Family for the past 14 months after Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, announced her own battle against the disease at effectively the same time as the King.
Whilst the 43-year-old Middleton has now shrugged her fight, the King continues on with his own although this does not necessarily mean his cancer is more dangerous or aggressive.
Known for their secrecy, we do not know what kind of cancer the King has, but it was detected following prostate surgery at The London Clinic in the UK’s capital city.
