WEST PALM BEACH, Fla (CBS12) — On Monday afternoon, CBS12 News welcomed Becky Dymond, Executive Director of LightHousePBC, to its 3 PM segment for a heartfelt conversation about hope, healing, and community action. Dymond shared details about LightHousePBC’s upcoming Barn Dance & Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser—a lively event with a powerful purpose.
Scheduled for Saturday, October 18th from 5 PM to 9 PM at First Presbyterian Church in North Palm Beach, the fundraiser aims to support women escaping sex trafficking in Palm Beach County. With live music, dancing, a chili competition, family-friendly activities, and both live and silent auctions, the evening promises fun for all ages while raising critical funds for survivor programs.
“Sex trafficking is a heartbreaking reality here in Palm Beach County, but there is hope,” said Becky Dymond, Executive Director of LightHousePBC. “This event not only raises vital funds, but it also brings our community together to show survivors that they are not forgotten. Every dollar helps restore dignity, safety, and opportunity.”
She emphasized that 95% of all proceeds go directly to programs that help women rebuild their lives with dignity, safety, and support.
Tickets are available now, with pricing options for individuals, families, and reserved tables.
