For those who are wondering, no, we are not talking about Anna Wintour this time around. Instead, there’s a new report that says Meghan Markle has yet another enemy at Vogue. That’s because she got into a massive fight with British Vogue editor Edward Enniful over her 2022 Vogue cover.
Meghan Markle Has Another Enemy At Vogue
In fact, the Duchess of Sussex was said to be so difficult behind the scenes that even Beyonce wouldn’t have been as demanding as she was.
Apparently, Meghan wanted a global cover and wanted to appear on both the covers of the UK and US version of the magazine and also had a list of demands with her. Clearly, the covers never happened.
One source close to the situation even put it this way, “Meghan asked for control over [the] photographer, writer, final edit, photos, cover lines, and wanted a global issue. Nobody gets that. Not even Beyoncé.”
And while Anna Wintour wasn’t interested in having Meghan on the cover, the insider said that, “Meghan asked for a Zoom with her to reconsider, and Anna did it to be polite.”
No One Wants To Work With The Duchess Of Sussex Anymore
Not only that, but Meghan and Enniful are no longer on speaking terms. The insider also said, “The duchess and her team had high expectations and were expecting she might get a print cover or at least a digital cover out of it, but Enninful was not able to meet those expectations. He already had a magazine cover in the bag for that month.”
“Edward was furious to have lost the project, as were the powers that be at Condé Nast. The whole process became very difficult. Edward could only promise her a big showy feature inside the magazine and online — but she turned it down.”
So far Meghan Markle herself has not made any comments about the rumors although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. Watch this space for more.
