Novak Djokovic entertains the crowd with a sensational shot during his doubles match with Nick Kyrgios.

Novak Djokovic has shown Australia he hasn’t lost any of his class, with a vintage performance during his Brisbane International doubles victory with Nick Kyrgios.

The two unlikely allies found themselves up against Alexander Erler and Andreas Mies during their round of 32 match at Pat Rafter Arena.

The first set was a tight encounter with the Aussie and Serb up 5-4 at one stage.
Erler and Mies managed to lead 30-0 during the game until Djokovic produced a miracle shot.

The 37-year-old found himself attempting to return a volley from Mies right near the umpire, however he managed to slice his backhand around the net and past Erler.

“What a shot, vintage Djokovic,” caller Peter Psaltis said on Nine’s coverage.

Djokovic then put his hands in the air to encourage an Australian crowd that is normally against him.

“He didn’t do enough with this volley Mies but have a look at that, the smallest of gaps to get it in between the net post and umpire’s stand. He hits it with perfection,” John Millman said.

Djokovic and Kyrgios then managed to defy the 30-0 deficit to win the game and set 6-4.

Mies and Erler then claimed the second set 7-6 (7-4).

But it was the odd couple coming away with victory, winning the match tie-breaker 10-8.
