Two of golf’s all-time best entertainers teamed up for a YouTube match this week leading into LIV Golf Hong Kong, and the result is as fascinating as you’d expect from a foursome with a combined eight major championships.
In the second edition of their 2v2 series, HyFlyers GC captain Phil Mickelson and YouTube sensation Grant Horvat challenged John Daly and his son, John Daly II.
The match offers a fascinating look inside the obvious differences in their approaches to the game – both of which have supplied golf fans with an an endless supply of highlights for more than three decades.
From Daly skipping the warm-up to teeing off a can while smoking, to Mickelson talking smack and giving lessons throughout, there were signature moments from both superstars.
And with the constant friendly banter about memories that date back to before Daly II was even born, the match is a bit like a walk down memory lane for most golf fans.
