HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A planned archaeological survey at the Kailua Municipal Parking Lot has been postponed.
The project was originally scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 15, through Friday, Oct. 31.
The city says it’s because of scheduling conflicts. A new start date has not yet been set.
Officials say the community will be given plenty of notice.
Kailua Municipal Parking lot is bordered by Aulike St., Uluniu St., Maluniu St., and Kuulei Rd.
The survey will be done to check for culturally or historically significant resources before a construction project takes place.
Questions and comments can be directed to the City and County of Honolulu, Department of Design and Construction, at (808) 768-8400.
